Update on bad restaurant experience
I sent an e-mail to the restaurant yesterday and this morning have had a reply. They say that the vegetables in OH's curry were definitely fresh except for frozen peas and that my spinach was frozen not tinned. They also say it is very very rare for them to receive any negative comments and they invite us for a complimentary meal.
We won't be going for the meal because the food was so awful the first time we have no wish to repeat it. Obviously if they say the veg was fresh I cannot prove it wasn't but it certainly tasted like frozen and looked so uniformly (sp) shaped as frozen veg does. I sometimes use frozen spinach if I cannot get fresh and have never known it to have the tang that tinned does. I love spinach, it is one of my favourite vegetables and think I know tinned when I taste it.
One of the reviews on the veggie website says they love the place because the food tastes like their mother makes!!!!! Must be a pretty bad cook then!
