does anyone have this/a similar model and could tell me if they were able to install any applications on it. for instance i wanted to put skype so im able to use it to make phone calls when aim abroad at wi fi hotspots, to my skype phone at home

    Tesco were selling limited quantities of them instore last week for £99. But I think it was really limited stock.

    amazon were cheapest for a new one...

    you can get the hard disk version or Solid State 16GB (recommended) version..

    I have one here and they are great only gripe is the 2 hour Battery life...

    But you can buy a bigger battery,,

    Good little commuting laptop .. Check out the youtube for reviews some good ones..

    PC World are currently offering the Acer Aspire One A110AB Blue 8GB solid state version for £135.97.

    Wouldn't normally choose PC World myself, but this deal looks interesting....just a shame it's not one of the higher spec'd versions.:rotfl:

    PC World may well be offering it @ £135.97 but you can't have it delivered, you have to choose a store to pick it up from, and therein lies the problem. As far as I can see there are no stores in the UK with any of said kit in stock!
