I've been looking for one of these for a few weeks now after a bad experience with the original one I bought (500gb Cyclone). I think I've narrowed it down to 2 but I've 2 questions if anyone can help:
1. Which is the best spec in the links I've given - I've looked at so many now I can't tell
2. Has anyone ever used Clickadeal.com and are they safe?
Oh and whilst I'm here I'll sneak a 3rd one in.......any other recommendations either for players themselves or where to buy from on-line?
TIA

Thanks for the link - they haven't got either of the ones I'm after though
The prices in the links I posted are really good compared to other places but I've obviously been coming in here too long cos all I can think is ......if it sounds too good to be true then it's likely to be too good to be true! lol 0 -

Don't get Seagate or Maxtor - avoid like the plague for the time being!Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
Not heard of the seller you link to but we've got an Iomega Screenplay (a gift so it could actually have been bought from them) and we love it.
It's small, very quiet - almost silent - and works a treat. We mostly play movies and it's easy to upload stuff to it. There was no need to install software (on Vista at least) it's just plug and play.
Also I think compared to the other item you linked to that the Iomega is slightly more versatile in the video file formats it can handle.

The OP was asking for MULTIMEDIA drives. Not standard storage hardrives
Im intrigued about your seagate answer though. I have 3 and one of thems been running flat out continuously for about 2 years now (Lesser drives may have broke within a year):idea:0 -
Never had a problem with a Seagate or Maxtor internal drive (have both in a old Mac and one in a PC, run like a dream) - but not the MM drives mentioned obviously...
For every person you find who recommends a HD brand, another will have had a failure, HDs fail occasionally, regardless of the brand.0 -

Seagate own Maxtor.
Seagate are going through a very bad patch right now - very much like the Hitachi Deathstars, sometime back in 2001(?).
