Cold call barring

Yet another stupid question I'm afraid!

I previously got a contact number/web address to contact to stop companies from bombarding me with offers via the phone, home and mobile. I used it to great effect in my previous abode. I have now moved and have no idea who to contact.

Any help would save me screaming at the next blooming caller.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH.

Thanks........The frazzlled one.

    Telephone Preference Service website =

    http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/

"Once a number has been registered it will become effective in 28 days."

From that site you can also register with the Mailing Preference Service to minimise unwanted Direct Mail.

If your a BT customer you can register for this free service at the same time as registering for free caller display/id. If you don't have caller display on your phone equipment when you do, it will be ready for you to use to see whose calling you. The number is 0800 916 5544 available 24 hours a day (calling from a landline is free). ;)
