Bankrupt & Bank Charges

Sorry if I've posted this already...still new at this!
I was discharged from bankruptcy June 2007. In Feb 2007 I began reclaiming charges, using templates etc. and chasing these up with Lloyds TSB who were very slow ineir responses.
I received a letter from them in 2008 saying that any money that might be refunded (several thousand claimed) would go direct to my creditors as the charges were made prior to the bankruptcy.
I am in very severe financial hardship and would like to restart my claim - is there any point? Has anyone else been in this situation and succeeded?
Many thanks

So your debts were written off, but you still want to claim back bank charges? Unbelievable. :rolleyes:Gone ... or have I?0

LLoyds are right. As your liability to the debt went into your BR, then any assets that are realised from them go into your BR estate too.
You should tell your OR about the claim and then its up to them entirely whether or not they want none, some or all of your claim. If you do not let them know and try to keep the cash you could potentially be prosecuted for fraud or theft.0 -
Thank you...I'll let the OR know but will leave it to him to chase things up. I've got lots more to worry about in the next few weeks! Again, thank you.0

You don't know my story or how the bankruptcy occurred ( a very inefficient bookkeeper who failed to do her job properly and is still working and screwing up other people's lives). So might I suggest that you don't judge others without knowing what is what.
There is no icon that exists that might demonstrate my true response to your thread.0 -
If any debt to the banks involved was included in the bankruptcy then I would assume you can't reclaim something that you didn't pay. However stranger things have happened.0
