Help wit getting credit

Hi everyone,

I am spending this bank holiday getting into a bit of a panic!

I currently have 4 credit cards (Virgin, tesco, halifax and hsbc).

I was getting my finances straight a year so so ago and transfered all my balances (back at the time the banks were giving out credit easily)
Anyway, 2 of these cards have had the interest free period expire and the other 2 are due to end June/July.

I still have quite a lot of debt on them but have tried applying for 2 other cards to re-transfer the balances onto but have been refused.

I am really worried now, I am struggling to make the interest payments on the 2 that have expired and when the other 2 expire I will be in big trouble.

Has anyone been in a similar situation - what can I do once these other 2 have expired and I have 4 cards with interest! help - I am not spending on any of the cards.

Thanks in advance,

Emma

    Hi,

Someone with more info will be along soon but you could go to the DFW board and post up a statement of affairs (ins and outs) to see if there are any adjustments to be made to your budget to help you pay off the bedt.

    In the meantime:

It can be hard to get credit if your cards are full - depends on lender's critera, of course. But applying too many times can harm your rating I think.

Thanks for the advice so far. A consolidation loan, is that to pay off the whole credit?
I am not sure i would be accpeted if I can't get a credit card!

How many applications have you made recently. Lots of recent searches will be hampering your efforts. Perhaps wait 6 months and try with your own bank for a loan>?
