ideas for hen weekend

I am currently organising a joint hen weekend for my friend. I have booked a cheap cottage for the weekend in Tavistock, Devon for her and 18 of our friends.
I need help with deciding what to do over the two days we are going to be there. I was thinking of one activity out and the rest will be at the cottage, as most of us are on a tight budget.
The cottage has lots of its own facilities including swimming pool, karaoke machine and jacuzzi.
If anyone has any brilliant ideas of what I can organise for 18 girls I would be most grateful

I want to plan a Hen weekend for about 10-15 people at the end of June.
My budget is £100. I'd like a clubbing weekend, with go-karting and paint balling. Can anyone help me find somewhere that does this?0 -
How about getting some beauty therapists in to do some pampering? Things like manicures, massages, pedicures etc. Not that expensive and great fun!0

I arranged a hen weekend for my friend in newcastle, We flew from bristol with easyjet and got really cheep flights had t shirts printed and hired a fire engine to take us around for an hour, i think it was about £160 for 8 or 10 people but was well worth the giggle especially as the fireman gave my friend a firemans lift but what was even funnyier was she thought he was a stipper and called me a very rude word!. We stayed in a travel lodge right on the tyne close to all the pubs and resturants and got a taxi to the metro centre for some serious shopping.
Newcastle is a really friendly place and i would recommend it for a hen weekendMum to 2 beautiful daughters born Oct 05 & Oct 08
It doesn't cost anything to smile!:hello: :starmod: :starmod: :starmod: :starmod::starmod:0 -

Or seeing as you are on a tight budget why not buy a mix of different things (face packs, manicure sets, pedicure sets etc) and just do it yourself. If you get the stuff from Boots you'll get lots of Advantage Points too! Then put a bit of the money that would have been spent on the beauty therapist towards buying some champagne - I was on a hen weekend just last week and we pampered ourselves before we went out for food and we had so much fun!0 -

Hi I am in the midst of organising a hen night too and I also need to keep it cheap. One great idea I had is to take my Wii and my daughter’s new Karaoke game too. If one of your friends has a Wii, they could bring it along with one or two karaoke games and you can play it in the cottage. If necessary, split between you it would be cheap to buy one of these games. The game we’ve got is Sing It! Pop Hits, which has a great track collection for a group of girls having a laugh – a mix of cheese, love and sheer pop. It also allows you to sing solo, duet or part of a group. If you fancy it you can check it out here: http://www.disneysingit.co.uk. And we will also be doing hen night classics such as Mr and Mrs. Let me know if you want any other ideas. I hope that helps.

I've been on 2 fab hen weekends (sisters as it happens). One to a vinyard, the other a 'behind the scenes tour' of a stayely home.0
