installed kodak easy share on laptop earlier and now it wont start up.

turn it on start up page comes up then it goes onto my screen saver page then a blue screen with the following

checking file system on c

the type of file system is fat 32

one of your discs needs checking for consistency

windows will now check the disc volume serial number 1dof-11d5

windows is verifying files and folders

there is then a lot of numbers from windows then it goes back to the start up page then i have a note in the bottom right hand corner saying found new hardware digital still camera

then it does it all again any ideas anyone please. apart from installing Kodak easy share i have done nothing out of the ordinary i am guessing the found new hardware digital still camera bit came from when i installed Kodak cos i have not installed it. it does though have a built in web camera.

any help would be gratefully received

chris

Keep pressing F8 on bootup until the SAFE MODE screen pops up
Select SAFE MODE. Uninstall the kodak program from there

do you think it could be the kodak program cos i put it on my other comp as well and this is working fine. could it be just a bit of bad luck. if that works could i try and install it again and see how it goes or just steer clear of it.

    thanks for your help

it could be sheer coincidence that your computer failed after installing kodak ~ but id guess you have compatability problems so its entirely your call.

If badguts advice doesnt work id suggest starting in SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING
Downlaod REVO and force uninstall the software

Download REVO UNINSTALLER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
