It seems that the terms have now changed. I joined up earlier today and did not get the 100pts even though the welcome email said I would.
I have just had a reply to my email I sent them and basically they haven't changed the email, but the terms are now that you get a free 100pts after you make the first trade. To buy 100pts ( for a really old/cheap pc game costing £2 ish in gamestation for example) it costs 5 euros. So I cancelled my account. I wanted to try it out without risk, but sadly no go.
Hope others were lucky before me, thanks anyway OP.
