how do u ensure there are none of ur personal info etc still left on it.

Run a dod wipe with Dban then re-install the OS using the recovery cd's
System restore will not remove personal data, The dban tool will ensure data can't be recoveredThe program is designed to securely erase a hard disk until data is permanently removed and no longer recoverable0
