Remember in the old days when you cranked up your hoover Senior how you always got that plume of dust! That is why it was recomended to vac first and dust later. Modern cleaners with their hepa filters and the like don't kick out much dust so I always dust first, scooting crumbs and bits to the floor and then vac.

  • I got rid of the carpet & fitted wooden laminate, now I just dust everywhere. Door mats are the answer ( no, really). Suppose to keep most of the dirt outside in the first place.

I dust first no other reason than I need to go from room to room picking up and [putting stuff away, so dust as go then hoover right through.

Dust first, then any bits go on the floor, then hoover up. Guess I'm following in my Mum's footsteps.
