I have noooooo intention of taking a subsitute! I spent hours on the internet researching and choosing our hotel. If we can't go there I want to restart the process, not accpet what ever is left over at a higher price

A friend gave me a big bag full of mags (she got married earlier this year). Wedding Ideas as mentioned above was quite good. Lots of creative and cheap ideas and lots of real wedding stories. I've marked so many pages in these little mags. Bride magazine however, was absolutely crap. Loads of adverts and expensive designer stuff on every page. You and Your Wedding was ok. It looks huge but there's not much in it to be honest.

I don't know if they do it in other counties but in essex we have a magazine called "An essex wedding" that i was given and although full of adverts (as per usual) it showed almost every venue in essex which i thought was good for people looking to book venues, from cheap to really expensive venues.
I still won't buy any magazines, one was enough, especially when all the info is on the net for free! ebay should be everyone's NBF when planning a money saving wedding!0 -

There's a North East Weddings (think that's what it's called) and a Yorkshire Brides. I've come across these at the wedding fairs and they also listed every venue in the region. Was very useful to me when we were looking for our venue, as I'm not from the area originally.....Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0
