Hello and thanks first of all for any help you may give me, As am needing a wee bit of help here.
1. If I have worked for more than one employer in one tax year, I.E started a job did 4weeks and moved on should I get a P60 from them both?
2. If so how do I go about getting them as iv been on a BR tax code for 4years? (Iv worked in 5jobs the the last 4years each one better than the last I can happily say)
3. Is there a letter template for me for use any were. Iv looked myself and I can't find one.
Thanks M

1. Yes you should receive a P60 from both employers.
2. You should receive your P60's by 31st May 2009 - That is a legal requirement.
3. What kind of a letter template do you need? We'd need to know what the letter was being written for!
P.S. If you've been on a BR code, you should be due a fair bit of tax back as you've been getting no personal allowance!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
You won't get a P60 from an employer by whom you were not employed at 5th April in any tax year.
You simply need to write to your tx office and lust all the employers you have had in the years in question. Ask HMRC to check your liability for those years and deal with any repayment. It doesnt have to be War and Peace. You dont send any P60's, apart from the year just finished as they wont yet have processed your P60.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0 -

Iv been told I will have to send off any P60's I have and I letter saying that I think that I may be due a refund.
So in this letter I need to send date of when I worked for X and when I left X?
I called the tax office I now have a tax code but the woman on the phone told me that if I would like to make a clam, I would need to send any Doc's that I have.0 -
It sounds as if they don't have any records for you at all.
Yes, you need to account for every day during the years you are claimig, so:
From 1/5/07 to 30/7/07 xyz Ltd
From 31/7/07 to 31/12/07 abc Ltd
Any periods you wernt working, say so and say you were not claiming JSA, or you were claiming.
etc.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0 -
You will only get a P60 from the most recent employer if you were still employed by them at 5th April, any previous employment in the same tax year wil be shown on that P60, provided you have given your new employer the P45 from your last job.0

I never got a p45 from the last employer. So I could not give it to my new employer so that's why my P60 for 07/08 only shows I make 6k ish when it should be about 13k.
Iv for got the dates I started and ended some jobs all iv got are pay sheets.
So there's no need for me to send the tax office anything but the P60 from 08/09?0 -
Just send the P60 frm 08-09 and a list of all your employers and dates, plus an explanation for any gaps. If they want more evidence, they will ask for it.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

Lots of people at this time of year are applying for the same thing, so it can take a while.
One tax office I spoke to recently was dealing with post from March, so don't hold your breath.
They don't send out an acknowledgement, the chances are that the letter hasn't even been opened yet,He's not an accountant - he's a charlatan0
