I've just had a phone call from the opticians about my new glasses. It's a long saga - the first prescription they put in was stronger than my last one (which I could still see with perfectly) and was giving me headaches and a sort of 'pulling' feeling in my eye muscles. I had another eye test and they ended up going back to my old prescription, so the glasses had to go off to be changed. I've got the sunglasses pair, but the others ones were delayed. When I did eventually get them, the assistant went to adjust them - and cracked the lens, so it had to go off to be changed. It was due in last Friday, but I've just been told they won't be in until the 15th!!!

Anyway, to lighten the day - my DD2 (age 4) is starting swimming lessons on Monday, so she's been carrying her swimming bag (already filled!) on her back, then today she decided to put on her swimming costume, goggles and armbands :rotfl:. I do hope she's not going to be disappointed! She's like this with school - she asks nearly every day "is it September yet?" She'll probably hate it

Right lazy old me must go off and do those last few jobs on my list.

It's raining... that would be my fault for putting the washing on the line :o

I still haven't made a start on the kitchen yet either... still, one kitchen wall unit collected by a freecycler, which is good news!

AND I've done some more ironing... the double fitted sheet is on the ironing board to be done next

Ive gone back and caught up with the thread (not all the way yet, but some!) and had to say that this was a real shocker.......ok I can kinda understand the Duvet cover and have been known to do this myself (rarely), but the SHEET??!?!?! Isnt it going to stretch over the mattress and flatten itself out anyway?!? :rotfl: If its just because you dont have enough to do already, you are always welcome round mine!! Ive got plenty! :D Anyway, good luck with your weigh-in this week - hope you havent put on! Since Ive started going to the gym and stopped eating rubbish, Ive lost ZERO pounds! Whats all that about! Just as well I dont really care! :D

Lil-me - My little only swims underwater too!!! I thought it was only my DS that was strange! :rotfl:

Why is it things never go as planned? I'm ready nice and early but Ds1 who's been awake since 6.45 is still not ready for school:confused: we have to leave in 10 mins and he hasn't had any breakfast yet:mad:. Ds2 is still eating his breakfast as he's spent 15 mins on the toilet:confused: and i've still got to get him dressed..

Aw holly - this sounds like my house (except I only have one!) He takes about 30 mins in the shower cos he is busy singing to himself and mucking around making bubbles. Then it takes him an absolute AGE to get dressed and eat! I also laugh when I read your post about your "microwave hotspot"! I seem to permanently have one of those too!!! :rotfl:
ETA : Dusty whatever did we do before google???? :D:D

Lol SS - Ive often wondered that!!! I googled to too btw!! What a fab tradition Egon
