im based in west london
I find Bicester a bit hit and miss, but there are several shops that are suit specialists there. My husband and my brother in law both buy their suits at Bicester.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

went there yesterday. Hadn't been in a couple of years. Generally out of my budget as I don't shop designer. If you do then, then I guess you can save a bit.Newbie Debt Ninja0

I used to live near the Hatfield Galleria, I personally wouldn't travel far to go there...the designer shops are few and far between and there's more junk there now than anything else. Also they've started charging for parking and its not cheap.0

Or look into the De Vere or Travelodge special offers and have a few nights away visiting a new place? Or put it towards something you've always wanted to do-hot air balloon trip, holiday to Las Vegas....sorry, love spending others people's money! :T Whatever you do, hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Ah, but thats the deal when you have lived here your whole life- its a bit been there, done that- and now I don't have the time! I do love the Zoo though and am lucky enough to have to walk through alot of green stuff to get anywhere- I am so lucky- seriously, I sit on the bus grinning to myself as I think I live in the best place in the capital :rotfl:(no am not joking!!) USA would be nice though- don't think I have the self discipline to save for that long!!0 -
We are going down to London for a few days for the PGA and planned on going to Bichester Village on the way back home and have a TL booked for theat night.
Is it somewhere we can spend the whole day there and does anybody know if there are any disabled parking?
I have looked at the web page and there are quite a few shops I would be interested in.0 -

There is disabled parking at Bicester. The parking attendants will direct you to the spaces.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

The last time I was at BV, I did get a few bargains (e.g. Hackett top reduced from £85 to £15, Calvin Klein two-piece suit reduced from £295 to £80), but I also see a lot of items which still seem over-priced.
As people have been saying, it is very much hit and miss.0 -
I agree about the Galleria in Hatfield. I live 10 mins away and it is a bit rubbish really. I have rarely found anything that is not cheaper online or that is any differently priced from regular shops. Also a large number of the stores are not "outlets" they are just regular e.g. Waterstones, Superdrug at the same price as another branch.
I would say the only decent shop is Pringle which DOES sell quite a lot cheaper than say the Bond Street store.

I would say a good outlet centre is the Swindon Designer Outlet, just off the M4. Pretty big and a good mix of shops, all under cover. Lots of parking - free if you spend over a certain amount (£100 i think). Pretty easy to find/get to from the motorway and not too far from London0

I would agree with this, although we stay in Scotland we visit friends in the South Regulary and have done both BV and Swindon and I much prefer Swindon- has got a bit of everything rather than just high end. Also found the eating places quite good and play area for my daughter which always helps on a shopping trip!0
