Life insurance policy for over 50's

Hi there,

Can someone please advise what the best way is to finding life assurance for someone who is in their early 50's and 60's? Apart from Cavendish Online, is there any other company/site that one should look at before taking policy for these age groups?

Thanks,
B.

    Any IFA.
    Apart from Cavendish Online

Cavendish are IFAs with good pricing but many whole of life plans dont have online quotations or dont offer the full range of options via the web. If you know what you want, how you want to pay for it and who you want to use then Cavendish will be the ideal choice.

edit: note, I am making reference to underwritten whole of life assurance plans and not the awful over 50s plans you see advertised on TV and in the newspapers.

Dont forget Over 50's plans are oftern targeted mainly for people whos health is maybe not what it once was.

If your health isnt great then do try this option.

If you health is good / reasonable you could try an extended term assurance policy which will cover you from day 1 once you start the cover, Over 50's plans often dont cover you for the first 1 or 2 years.

The cost is oftern cheaper too - it simply depends on your circumstances.
