EBay postage labels

I've just started selling on EBay and finished my first lot of auctions. I was wondering wondered whether I actually needed actual sticky labels for printing off postage labels, or whether printing to a sheet of A4 and then sticking that on to the package was sufficient? Either way's no bother, I just don't have any proper labels to hand (until I get back to work... ;))

I would have asked on the EBay site, but their message boards are horrendous.

Great, thanks. I take it there's no problem printing out a recorded delivery label?

There have been threads about issues regarding recorded as very often the PO don't realise they need to put an orange label on and put the details in their tills.

Personally since you are going to have to queue up at the PO anyway I suggest it would probably be easier to not bother with paypal postage and just pay at the PO.

I just print the label, and stick on a recorded sticker on aswell, then just tell the PO it's been prepaid. They just scan it and give me a receipt.

The PO will give you a batch of recorded labels if you ask.

But if you turn up with just a prepaid label on it and don't point out it's recorded delivery - then it won't go recorded delivery. You'll have wasted your 75p.

Fair point. Our local post office isn't particularly busy anyway.
