JML - Halogen Ovens UPDATE

Just thought I'd give you an update on what happened with the ovens.

It said on the back of the packing slip that you had to have a returns number or they wouldn't accept the return. It also said had a 100% guarantee and you could return it within 30 days. Now remember we had 2 of these, on opened and tried and not liked and one not opened.

So we rang up and got through in not very long. Mum told them that I was listening on the other line. Mum said that the lid was far too heavy for her to lift and therefore not suitable and that we didn't want the other one. We also said that it was no quicker cooking and she went on to say how they were one of their best selling items etc. We didn't persue this line too much. She then went on to say that Mum would have to pay the postage and that wouldn't be refunded (mum was happy with this she just wanted rid of them)and gave us a return number. There was no way they would collect the parcel via DHL. I then asked her how much exactly mum would get back and she confirmed this would be the total she originally paid - which included postage. We were very doubtful that we would get this amount back!

I filled in the number on the back and photocopied everything. We packaged it up and sent it back that day - via the post office. This cost about £18. Then we waited………………..

Mum got her visa statement yesterday and there was the entry for the purchase of the ovens and then further down was the credit, for exactly the same amount. :j. SO, they weren’t as bad as we thought and their customer service was pretty good.
