Evening entertainment for children in London

Can anyone suggest any suitable places to take children in the evening in London. I'm looking for somewhere to take a 9 year old wwhilst visiting London in the Easter hols. Theatres, which shows are suitable for children? Anything else?

And preferably with some kind of discount available :)

I took my 8 year old to see "Stomp" which I got cheap with LastMinute.com. It was fantastic - we both loved it. Not sure if it is still running, but highly recommended if it is. Also not far away is "Rainforest Cafe" which is good fun for having dinner.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

    You could try:

    The london eye at night
    Mary Poppins
    The lion King
    Science museum

  • I took my neices to Smollensky's Restaurant on The Strand for a meal.

The restaurant caters for children who are made very welcome.

Not far from STOMP theatre which is also on The Strand.

Check to see if you book through https://www.toptable.co.uk you can get a discount.

Buy your theatre tickets from half price booth in Leicester Sq on the day.

Thanks. We were planning to go to the science museum during the day. I hadn't realised it opening in the evening as well

The Lion King is fantastic. I would highly recommend it, and would certainly see it again.

I took my children to see it and they loved it. You get things like full sized elephants and herds of antelopes going across the stage.

Try and get seats in one of the circles, as things happen in the boxes to the side of the stage. I'm not saying anymore in case I spoil it!
Here I go again on my own....
