Have a look on the c: for an applications folder, drivers should be in there

The database and version of Malwarebytes is MEGA old. You need to UPDATE it and run a FULL scan

The hijack log is useless as it was run in SAFE MODE (Needs to be run in normal mode)

I found the drivers in a C:\Drivers folder, which is handy :D

I've updated the antivirus and Spybot definitions manually, I just need to update the Super Antispyware ones manually in normal mode (so I can re-run HiJack This as well).

No probs - I'll have to do this manually since the network drivers won't work at the moment, so I'm going to get the latest ones and try those.

Again, no probs - I need to go back to Normal mode to update Super Antispyware's definitions, so I'll do both tasks at the same time.

    Hey everyone,

Just to say thanks for all the advice, and a quick update:

The good news is that the viruses and malware seem to be gone, thanks to Bitdefender and MBAM.

The bad news is that I have to get the network adapters working, and the drivers stored on the hard drive seem to be corrupted, so I will have to go to their manufacturers' websites to download the installation files and see if that works: if not, I think I'll have to phone Sony's technical support team and see what they can advise.
