how long are you going to new york for?
i am going to la and vegas for 11 nights and am taking £1500.

i hope i have enough now!? not planning on doing much shopping though!

We are going for 7 days and I do plan to do some shopping and I would also love to do a helicopter ride :o Plus, I would rather take too much than not enough.

I am still doing extra hours at work, pretty much full time, and I am also doing lots of ebaying :A I have also been sorting out my assorted memorabilia and being very harsh with what I am keeping and then ebaying the rest. As I not only have NYC to pay for but I start Drama School in September and don't really want to get a student loan so I am hoping to save up my fees. I don't like the idea of getting back on the slippery road of debt, even if it is for a good reason.

Well, I must go and carry on with my ebaying and clearing out session like a good girl!!

I am so excited about my impending holiday :j but I am also very tired from doing extra hours at work. I am also doing lots of ebaying so I can make even more money as having savings is a whole new concept :rotfl:

I am a little disappointed in myself as I had been using my Tesco credit card to buy new clothes for the holiday, doing the weekly shop and putting general 'bits' on it.I paid it off in full :A but by the time I got paid the balance was over £500  so most of my wages went on that  I need to make sure this does not happen again no matter how many clubcard points I will get.

Well I must go and crack on with my ebaying like a good girl!!

It has been a good few months since I wrote and I have done so much.
    • Went to New York (it was amazing)
    • Started at Theatre School
    • Splurged at Christmas and now have £525 on Tesco card
My 1st job now is to pay off the credit card in full and I am going to freeze it and only use in an emergency! Then as I have not taken out any loans I need to be saving for my uni fees next year and we are also going to Switzerland with uni in April so need to save up for that. Then as I got an annual bus pass this year as it was cheapest way to do it I need to save up for that too. So I have a whole load of saving going on!! Unfortunately any extra money I make at work over Christmas will go straight to credit card

What would really help with all over the above is if my maintenance grant would come through :rotfl:Was meant to be in my bank account in September but I am just hoping they pay me twice in January. I would ring and see when it will be going in but it's an 0845 number!!

So no more silly spending on my credit card and we should be ok :p
