Is getting a mobile cheaper?.

Hi

We have Virgin Media. And pay £11.00 for the line rental a month. And medium broadband which is £18.00

Only my mum uses the phone. The bill last month was the huge sum of 57pence!

So we pay £29 a month plus whatever phone bill it is, which is never more than £2.00 plus the fees they charge. Bill ends up been about £34/£35 pound! :eek:

Only my mum calls her friend, about once a week for about 20 minutes
(:o) no one else calls, or uses the phone.

I saw a mobile on tjhughes website for £10, on the t mobile network, but i just read t mobile might be closing down.

So... would it be better getting a cheap £10 phone. Or maybe a virgin phone and sim, which is £8.50 a month :A

I got a free Nokia pay as you go from Virgin. The only thing I had to do was purchase the first £20 credit straightaway. It might be worth seeing if Virgin are doing this for customers. I'm not sure if you would be tied in anyway with their services, so best to check.
