Service signal showing can I remove ?

I have a service light showing when I start my Audi A3 (04 plate). It has been serviced but not by an Audi garage. Is there any way I can remove this sign ?

In my Citroen it involves Turning the ignition on while holding down the mileage trip button. I guess there will be something similar for yours, Is there an Audi forum?

I think audi's can only be reset to the 10,000 interval the DIY way. If you want it resetting to the AVS way you have to use Audi or someone with the computer system

if you are not planning on selling the car i would just leave it and make a note on a sticker at what mileage the next service is due (this is only if you cant get it reset for free)
