Firefox sizing

Have downloaded firefox to wifes laptop/vista but webpages are too big for screen yet ok on IE. Any suggestions?

Has your wife got the laptop at the correct resolution? It may be that she has the resolution set too low and the zoom level in IE set less than 100%0

If you find that after upgrading to Firefox 3, your toolbars, menu text, and page content are much larger than they should be, follow the instructions in this article.
If your Firefox window's text toolbars, menu text, and page content are normal size, but the window is too large, see the Firefox window is too large or opens off screen article.
To restore Firefox to a normal size:- In the Location bar, type about:config, and press EnterReturn.

- Type layout.css.dpi into the Filter.
- If the layout.css.dpi preference is shown:

- In the Enter the preference name prompt, type layout.css.dpi and click
OK.
- Next enter the value 96.

- From the menu at the top of the Firefox windowbar, select FileFirefox and then select the ExitQuit FirefoxQuit menu item.

Try un-installing, then re-installing Firefox.
How does it look in Firefox? Do you have to use the horizontal scroll to view every page?
It might help if you could take a print screen of what you see in IE and what you see in Firefox, then post them here. To do that you want to press the PrtScn key (you might need to hold down the fn key at the same time) then past the image into Paint, save it as JPEG and upload it using this site http://tinypic.com/ (find the image on your computer by using the browse button) then just copy and paste the forum link, it will be the link that starts with [img][/img]0 -
