Smeg appliances, are they worth the money

We have a pink Smeg Fab 30..the one with the freezer on top, and for us it's been brilliant.

I have read a lot of dodgy reviews however, particularly about the smaller model with the ice box at the top. Apparently those break all the time.

I have to admit I chose it for it's looks..and it is gorgeous and gets many admiring looks! But I think that if I was buying one now, I'd be a bit more sensible and read up on it before spending over £1000!!!!!

We have Smeg hob and chimney, they look great, and cost the same buying them online as the kitchen supplier were going to charge for an appliance manufacturer I hadn't heard of.:rolleyes:

Not had any bother in 6 years.

Our fridge is Zanussi thouh, never had anything else for a fridge, Zanussis last for years, ime.

john Lewis offer an extra year's guarantee on top of the manufacturer on a lot of their electrical goods, and their service is good too, so check out their prices, you might be as surprised as we were when they were much cheaper than everyone else for the dishwasher we bought last year.
