Spilt Pepsi on my laptop

As the title suggests, I spilt some pepsi on my laptop last night and now the right side of the keyboard is very sticky. I cleaned it up as best I could when I did it but I don't know how to take the keyboard out to clean it? Can anybody tell me how to do this? I'm worried if I just leave it then the keys are going to get more and more sticky and stop working.
It's a Fujitsu Siemens laptop.
Thanks in advance.

1) Remove battery

2) Lever open buttons cover
3) Lift Cover away from screen
4) Remove keyboard from brown clip
Seeing how you failed to mention the model of your laptop, you'll have to do your own searching if the above instructions don't help.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -

I didnt notice any narkiness except this is your post. All they did was point out that you hadnt given the model of your computer which would have been sensible IMO. Cant believe people like you.
the trouble that the poster went to to help you and you go on the defensive and have a go at him/her like this.
you should be ashamed of yourself and say thanks properly not in the offhand way that you did. :rolleyes:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Tis why you should never, ever have beverages by your laptop

As for cleaning it, water should be OK as long as you dont completely submerge it and make sure it's dry before putting it back in
I say damp cloth but you want to make sure the sticky Pepsi is all gone... If you know what I mean.
You should think yourself lucky you didn't get it onto the motherboard otherwise it would have been 'frying tonight!' hahaha

Well everybody perceives things in a different way and I did feel that comment was narky and uncalled for. But that is me, you obviously saw it differently and that's fine.
And i'm not ashamed at all and I did thank him/her, I am grateful for the step by step instructions they gave me. Think happy & you'll be happy

Mountain out of a molehill. Reminds me of that OP a while back who refused to allow any discussion of firefox in their thread. It was as if they were paying us for the service they received!Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Yeah the pictures are great, they were greatly appreciated. I don't know, I just found the bit at the end a dig at me, because I hadn't put the model on but I couldn't actually find it although I have now.
Maybe I was just being oversensitive or something, who knows! Anyway let's just leave it now.
