Dispute re collection and payment, they have asked for more!

I won an electrical item few weeks ago, went to collect, had real problems with finding the property, and failed as their address directions were really unclear, then returned a second time with success after the seller emailed me.

I went to collect a second time, and was left hanging around as there was a part missing, which they couldn't find, so the price I won it for, the lady said don't worry, if we find it, we will post it to you, and forget about payment, as I appreciate you have been messed about.

I said I couldn't accept it for nothing, so offered to pay half my winning bid, which she accepted.

The piece was found, and I have received it, I have sent payment for the postage for it, but now they are asking for the rest of the bidding price.

Should I pay? It was agreed on the door to just pay half. I'm not sure where I stand really.

i definitely wouldnt pay if they agreed that you only paid half which you did.they messed you about and should have made sure that it was complete for when you arrived.they cant leave you negative eedback anyway.
i think they are being unfair to agree on something and then go back on their word.i certainly wouldnt pay.

Was this payment through paypal or cash? I ask as if they wanted they could do an unpaid strike against you if cash was paid. Then they'd have to show delivery :)

    They'd lose in that.

How do you feel about it? Was the discount fair? Taking into account your hassle?

If so, walk away. You've done all you could. Most generous in paying for postage IMO.
