Suggestions welcome! Hubs wants to start up on his own, but we don't have a lot of floating cash, so recommendations would be brill please.

I would personally get the yellow pages out and try my local printers, there are usually plenty about and you can see them in person so you get exactly what you are looking for, they will offer suggestions on layout etc and may also be able to offer credit terms. Depending on what business you have, this may be the first contact you have and impressions count, you can only make that first impression once. The cheapest are not always the best value imo.

I usually use Vista Print - they arent the cheapest when you buy in bulk, but you can get usually about the first 100 free, get complete control of design and DIY on your own computer, and I like that control! Also you can easily find discount codes on the internet which usually entitles you to 25% off your final bill and free delivery, or £10 off, or £5 off.

Also when you get your first order your automatically given 25% off your next bill.

I recently got 500 business cards, 100 postcard leaflets, 25 brochures, address labels, car magnets, tshirts, business card holder, pens (cant remember what else)

plus theyre special offer of free 7 day delivery for £60 or there abouts! So they do have their plus sides for smaller orders
Life is what you make it.

Local printers have got to be your best option. I get dp's done at ours and for £28 he gets 4000 (4 to an a4) admittedly these are all the one colour but for colour ones for myself they have just quoted £38 so still a great deal.

I used a company called Azimuth Printing. When I'd used then I already had the design etc http://www.azimuthprint.co.uk/

I found they were a good service and the cheapest for what i needed.

saxo print is great, quality of service and print. But, you have to design your own and supply in proper print colours not the standard rgb. they do however check your work and will not print unless its right. if you are pc ok then it's the way to go.
