Wireless Internet Connection

OH had his laptop fixed by a friend.It wasnt working at all and now is ,but it keeps dropping the internet connection,it will only connect for couple of seconds then disconnect.The other laptop in house is fine on the same router.

    Could be a number of issues.

    Try to reinstall the wireless network card drivers.

    If you router supports DHCP (Should be on by default) Then ensure the laptop is set to automatically detect IP.

    Do you have MAC address filtering setup on the router? The MAC address shouldnt have changed but some routers bind Mac with Hostname if this is different it can stop you from authenticating correctly.

    Sounds like a dud WiFi card. What make and modle laptop is it?
