Just received conformation invoice atol bonded but no mention abta. ....is it safe to transfer money by bank transfer.....smell something dodgy now

No they are safe ..they are not abta bonded they are atol bonded they dont sell teh main stream packages they put them together themselves,same as travelman does under his companies atol bond ...If you have booked a package you are completly covered but if you are worried call them tomorrow and they will explain and for added protection pay with a credit card
