I read a thing in the news of the world this morning about holiday inns doing a wedding for £999, might be worth having a look?

I am using the castle hotel in Tamworth for the wedding reception etc and getting married at Lichfield registry office. The offer placed in local paper is £750.

    For this you get
    3 course meal with coffee
    wine with the meal
    bubbly for speeches
    master of ceremonies
    colour coordinated linen
    table centre candelabras
traditional two tier cake with stand and knife
    complimentary honeymoon suite
free use of banqueting suite for evening do.

Price per head on an evening buffet is £5 and additional cost of their resident dj is £185.

All this is based on 50 people for sit down meal and 150 for evening do.

We have adapted this for our own needs and are having 30 for meal and approx 80 for evening. We are having a choice menu rather than the set and losing the cake cos im getting it from M&S. So our total for meal and evening with dj and buffet was no it much more than they advertised. They will talk through every thing with you and you are not rushed when viewing. Even when we go back paying in instalments we are constantly asked how preparations are going and if they can do anything to help. HTH.

Apparently there was an ad/promo in yesterdays news of the world. But I would ring or email Holiday inn, oh found some info via google in the daily mail & HUKD oh thats pointed me in the direction of this at holiday inn now if the links worked correctly you should see some info on the right of the page re £999 wedding, might be worth checking the hotels in your area on the website, it may only be selected hotels.
    Booo!!!
