Wireless Network - Restart phenomena

Can anyone explain why I am almost always needing to reboot my laptop after turning it on before I can get the wireless network between it and my desktop to connect ???????????????????????????????????????????????????

Nak eof laptop and wireless point. I have seen this between a Toshiba and Belkin wireless point

i have a belkin and i need to do it 50% of the times

Try doing a repair instead, by right clicking on the wireless network icon, or doing start run cmd

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Here comes the wise man again. Thank you albertross. The repair thingy I try every time to no avail. I'll however try the cmd --> ipconfig and see. Cheers.
