Updating firmware for Belkin Router

Can anyone tell me whether its easy to update the firmware on a Belkin Router? On the configeration screen I can see an option to update but am reluctant to go ahead as I dont know what I am going to come across. (I scared myself witless by reading a post on another web forum which made it seem horribly complicated!).

    a) Model number & current firmware level, please?? (Some are more difficult than others)
    b) WHY do you want to update: Do you have a problem or do you just wish to be up-2-date?? If a problem have you tried any work-arounds???
    c) Do you have a spare router (I must have 3) just to see it isn't something really fundamental....??
    d) What did your query to "another web forum" suggest you do?? And have you tried it or just asking here as it is Saturday nite...

    Cheers!

  • Is there an update available for it?
On my router (not a belkin) I just downloaded the the new file, backed up the original firmware and then installed the new.
Many people advise caution, because if something goes wrong you could find yourself with a useless router.

I agree. Let sleeping router firmware lie, especially if you don't have any problem.
