I wanna get ears pierced where??

Hiya guys after falling in,lovenwith some gorgeous ear rings today I'm going to get my ears pierced. Anyone know where I can get this done at reasonable cost and fairly safe?

I know Claires do it but the girl looked a bit young!!

Do beauty salons do it or hairdressers or jewellers?

Thanks

I'm not sure if they still do it, but I got mine done at Debenhams years ago.

Me and my sister both had ours done in a chemists when we were little, by a pharmacist! Don't know if they commonly do ear piercing but it's worth a look as I know who i'd rather have piercing my ears between a "medical professional" and a girl in Claire's Accessories!!!

I had mine done in a jewellers and my mum had it done in a beauty salon, so loads of places if you are near a big town.

I personally dont hold with the 'what in whats out' or 'whats hot whats not' thing.

I say do it, only if its right for you :D
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:
  • If you're unsure about getting them pierced Claires do a great range of magnetic earrings. I've got them for my daughter & the magnets are very strong so they do stay on.

MY daughter had hers pierced at Claire's a few months ago. We knew the young assistant who did it, and she was very professional. All went well - no problems. They have to be over 18 to be able to pierce ears.
In addition to the earrings you also receive an instruction sheet on care and sterilising solution to clean the piercings for a few weeks.

I think it was £22 as we chose gold studs (which came with 2 sets of gold butterflies)- so not too bad.

You'd be best to go to a good piercing studio. Highstreet shops, jewellers and hairdressers may offer the service but they are hardly sterile environments. Also, the gun that they use to pierce with cannot be sterilised so, although the ear-rings they use will come out of a sealed sterile package, they'll put them into a machine that isn't. Bleurgh! Not to mention the level of training the staff weilding the gun may have had (or not had, as the case may be...)

I had my my ears pierced with a gun (years ago...before piercing studios were commonplace) and have since had more piercings (including ears) with a needle carried out by a professional piercing...the needle piercings have been less painful and healed faster.

    Hiya

I had my first ones done (a very long time ago) in a hairdressers. Subsequent ones on a marketstall jewellers and lastly in a tattoo piercing studio. All my ear piercings and my nose piercing have been done by a gun. The only thing I wish i'd had done with a needle was the top of my ear as it took ages to heal and someone told me it would have been better done with a needle.
