Just Abit Of Advice Please....

Right I'll get straight down to it, I had a car on finance with PPI. I then lost my job after a long fight with stress, I was then told by the finance company that the PPI wouldnt cover the payments as 'mental illnesses' werent covered.

Due to it being a while before I was able to work again I received a CCJ over the above and am still paying for the car. The company in question is Mallard Finance.

So basically, is there anything I can do? I definitely wasn't told that the policy would not cover mental illnesses when I bought the car.

Cheers.

    Hi there

They obviously did not go through explaining how this policy works, normally its when you already had this condition when taking this policy out you would be excluded.

So due to this, as its worthless to you, I would try to reclaim on this PPI.

Here below is a link to help you through this, there are letter templates to use but add your own reasons as stated, they have 8 weeks to respond in full.
Another letter maybe required if they give you the opportunity to write back with further information, and the final response should give details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS) if eligible.

Post all letters by recorded delivery, good luck.

Thanks Di, I forgot to say though that the car was reposessed as I couldn't make the payments. Would that make any difference?

I don't think it makes any difference, your claiming back what you believe has been mis sold to you.;)
