I have had several roblems with meter readings, and my latest bill was a bit large. So i checked the readings again (econ7) and on my bill it says:
L:37626
H:96406
But my actual readings are:
L:34904
H:96571
Obviously a big difference with the Low readings. Would this make a big difference (nigher or lower) on my bills?
We were with ScotPower and they told us that these readings coulod not be right, they had to send someone to check, they never did. We then changed to Powergen and I tried to put these meter readings in online and it told me to double check as the low reading was lower than the previous one, which is 'irregular'. It did take it though after I confirmed.
Wil they actually change it? and will it make a diference??
Thanks

Are those readings estimated - normally with an 'E' after the reading.
On the face of things it would appear you have paid for 2,722 kWh more low rate electricity than you have consumed.(37626 - 34904) If your low rate is around 3p per unit(kWh) you will have paid £81 too much.
However it is difficult to understand how for the high rate units your bill and current readings are exactly the same. How long was it between the date of the bill being produced and you taking readings?0 -
Sorry, entered the wrong High reading, have adapted it now.0

Right, now I'm totally confused! Hopefully someone will be able to help. Here is my original bill:

So, it says I owe £443.71. The meter reading were wrong, I submitted the real readings. I just checked online and this is my new bill:

I have up'd the DD to pay more off, but I still don't get this bill. They seem to have refunded £257 and a couple of little ones on top. Now that would be fine if it came off the last bill, which (without the other little ones) would be £186. But, as the first line reads: for the 33 days between February 10th and 15th March, they want to charge £186.25 for Economy 7 and £59.84 for gas.
Would anyone say this was wrong? That seems a lot for 33 days worth!0
