HI ,
does anyone know what is the best way to negotiate a group discount for hotel rooms? I need to book 10 rooms, possibly more for 2 nights in May for friends for our daughters christening.
I have emailed a few but was wondering if there are any codes etc I could use to get a better price. It's a long shot I know but If anyone knows it will be someone using this website/chat forum!
Thanks in advance if you can help.

if you have a hotel in mind why not ring them up and ask if they do discounts for group bookings.. My friend did this when he got married in york just rang around a few hotels to see what kind of discounts he could get. The receptionists sometimes think they god and try to fob you off, in this case just ask to speak to a manager..
if you dont ask you dont get. Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,

Which hotels do you have in mind? I worked in Cambridge for 7 years and know some of the good ones and bad ones.

I recommend checking out venere.com. There's also lots of reviews on there.
For a 4% discount, use code BK5HX8W
Best of luck!0 -
Thanks everyone. Trying to get into the travelodge and phoned them for a group discount but they said that they do not offer them as their prices are already so low. I said why can't I nogotiate the £10/26 rooms rather than £46 but the guy on the phone just said go online!!So I am being sent round in circles! Going to wait a few more days before I book as some of those cheaper rooms have come up but not on the days I want.... typical. thanks to all for your suggestions0
