Nationwide Credit Card and Charges..

Hi

Would be most grateful for some help.

I requested my CCA from the Nationwide which I received a copy this morning.

I recently became unemployed and have been telling the Nationwide, but this seeems to fall on DEAF ears.

I assumed I had PPI as I Have been paying a monthly sum since 2007.

The agreement shows I DID NOT choose this option, it is blank!!mad.gif

Any help as to how I can reclaim these charges back to 2007 would be grateful for the advice.

I also have KPR now chasing payment to clear the account.sad.gif

Until this is resolved I will certainly not be making any further payments.

Surely it is wrong what they have done, by just adding these payments on?

Are you making a claim on the PPI as you are unemployed? Are you claiming charges because they levied charges to your credit card? I'm sorry I don't understand the question.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

I tried to claim from the PPI, and they are just stalling, saying they will be in touch.

In the meantime, I obtained a copy of the CCA, and noticed that I did not opt for the option of PPI, but I have been paying the charge since Feb 2007.

So I think I am right in thinking that I can claim for the PPI charges, as they obviously will not be paying me anything on the PPI claim.

If you had PPI (you do not seem to be sure), now that you have become unemployed, you should claim the insurance component of the PPI (that will cover unemployment).

PPI cover is usually supplied by a separate insurance company, not the bank. Did you put in a claim? Did they refuse your claim?
Like with all insurance claims, it might take some weeks to sort it out.

    Hi,

I was doing contract work when they gave the Credit Card to me..
So I do not think I qualify for the PPI, as the contract was less than 6 months of employment.

Can I reclaim the PPI, as I did not choose the PPI option, when I first received the card?

I think you need to clarify if you have had/got PPI on your credit card and when it was and the terms and conditions when you took it out. If you were ineligible at the point the PPI was taken out then you have a claim for misselling.

    Thank you for your advice.

Will go for the mis-selling of PPI, as I did not choose that option myself.
They just added it on Monthly.
