Internet connection keeps dropping!!!

Can anyone help before I lose my marbles?

When I'm in the middle of playing games on my playstation 2 my connection to the network keeps dropping.

I've got a WGT624 Router with a WG511T wireless laptop card.

My playstation is connected to my laptop through a bridged connection.
It only drops when I'm playing on games. i can surf the web through my laptop without any issues.
I've looked at the various solutions that have been posted but I'm still having no joy.
i think I've got the latest software installed on my router :-
Hardware Version = V3
Firmware Version = V4.2.111.0.1

My ISP is Blueyonder
If anyone could help, I'd be really gratefull

Could your laptop be going into sleep mode (turning of the card to preserve power)

I don't think so. I've checked under the advanced tab of the network card and Poer Save is set to Off. Should I check anywhere else??

Firefox can cause your network connections to stop randomly and requires a reboot in some circumstances
  • I'm using internet explorer as my browser. Could it be an issue with my router? The thing that confuses me is that it only seems to be when I'm playing games. It never drops when I'm just surfing the web

Could the PS2 be interfering with the wireless connection?

Try moving the PS2 if possible, and also try changing the wireless channel to a different one in your router settings.
