HI
I'm planning to sell my house and once I have paid off the mortgage, I anticipate having about 30k left over. What I want to do is, move in with my girlfriend for a few month and live mortgage free whilst looking for a new place some time soonish. My question is:
Are there any tax implications for this?
Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

none at all as long as the house is your perminant residence enjoy the 30k and make sure you get the best place to stash your cash this is after all a money saving site so 3k in this years allowence in a cash isa and the rest in a good savings account
