Anyone used/heard of ProMeris for fleas?

I think its new & American

Here is a website selling it

http://www.vetmeds4pets.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=34_92_94&osCsid=7fcfa1b607ce09a24143ed685e08507e

Here is the makers site

Frontline doesn't seem to be doing the job anymore:eek:
I've read people say that we have been using it so long, fleas are becoming immune to it now, like nits do to certain nit lotions:eek:

You are quite correct about F****line - I have said this before on these boards and probably more than once. I see loads of problems with it i.e. fleas. Promeris is fine and a "novel" drug so no resistance reported as yet - I do not sell it, but that is because Advantage still working for us and I would rather stick with that until it fails as well.

I cant stand the sales rep for Promeris either - he was so miserly with his discounts to us, that we overpaid for vaccines by some £12-14000 per year compared with other practices of a similar size and it took my accountant to spot it. We changed vaccine company.

    I've never heard of it.
I think I will try Advantage or this new one & give up with Frontline for a while.

    Is Advantage similar to Advocate?

Promeris has been around for a couple of years now. I tried it on my pets with a sample from the reps and it smells awful. The cat one is coconut flavoured because the actual molecule smells so bad, it has to be masked. We don't sell it currently

My old vets used to change flea treatments every year, dont know if made any difference, but mine never seemed to get them.

I use Advantage now MrsE and its good :)
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:
