Installing firefox to use Property Bee - worried!

Hi,
I would like to use Property Bee which is aparently only available to those on firefox. I use IE and have never used firefox before so am understandably I think a bit worried about changing.
Can someone run me through an idiots guide on what to do (aside from downloading it!). I would like to know what I should watch out for and how to keep IE as default and just use FF sometimes.
I have searched the techie board for this kind of info but couldn't find anything specific. If anyone knows of a thread that has already got this info then a pointer in the right direction would be great!
Thanks

Download FF (Very good browser BTW, you may decide to keep as your default too). Install FF and keep IE as your default browser when asked, (also import your IE favorites too) Go to property-bee and get the add on.
You'll be fine.0 -
Agree entirely with totalsolutions, I use Firefox instead of IE, always puzzles me why anyone would choose to use IE, but I have no wish to hijack the thread discussing it
Go ahead, you will love itNumerus non sum0 -
I use firefox all the time. Out of the box its generally safer than IE
Just 2 weeks ago I used Internet Explorer and it let a virus through
The reason firefox stopped it is because I also use the NOSCRIPT plugin ~
NOSCRIPT
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722
NOSCRIPT works by blocking ALL website scripts (Which is how dodgy websites infect your computer ~ the easiest way to catch a virus after downloading). So you need to UNLOCK all websites you use for them to work properly (Like this one for example)
It also prevents 'page hijacking' (clicking to goto a BANK page for example and being redirected to a BOGUS page which would give scammers your login details!)
I personally set it so that it DOESNT show messages about blocked scripts. Then all you need to do is use common sense. Think to yourself 'does the site work ok'? If so it doesnt need touching. But if you wanted to watch a video on youtube say, youd need to unlock parts of it. Look bottom right, If theres ANY red on the 'S' symbol, then something is being blocked.:idea:0
