Hi
I have been trying to claim back the ppi we are currently paying out on my partners loan.. I sent off the 1st letter and we have been waiting over 3 months for a response. Today we have recieved the decision of the investigation and it advises that :
' the details of the policy were confirmed in the enclosed documents. The optional nature of the insurance and the full details of the eligibilty conditions, main benefits and exclusions and cost involved were provided before you decided to apply for the policy. You therefore made a fully informed decision to proceed with the insurance.
As a result i am sorry to advise tghat i have been unable to uphold your concerns in this instance. Howover to reflect your valued custom the group is prepared to offer you a payment of £750 as a gesture of goodwill without any admission of liability in full and final settlement of you complaint.'
Do we accpet this offer now, or proceed for full amount ( which is probably aroung £1400? and if we proceed further will we lose any offer and be back to square one?
difficlut decision as £750 is a huge amount to us at the moment.....
Any advice??
Many Thanks Emma

Hi Emma
I would personally move on to the FOS, this is a bog standard good will offer, the FOS should resolve this for you, if you don't mind waiting.
Its entirely up to you now, as they have given their final response, if your not satisfied then move on to the FOS.

Did they confirm the FOS on the letter?
Make sure first before you decide to take this option, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
