Frankfurt Hahn - Germany - where to go?

Found some really cheap flights to Frankfurt Hahn (£60 all in for 3 of us!).

Have been to the Black Forest a couple of times and so don't really want to venture over that way and would really like to explore the Moselle region.

Has anyone been to this area?

I'm off to the Black Forest from Hahn soon. Have driven along the Moselle about 10 years ago, its lovely, much prettier than the Rhine. I'd definitely go back again. Trier and Luxemburg are nearby and worth a visit too.

The Black Forest is my kind of place. Very clean, loads to do, georgeous landscape and great food. Found it quite reasonable too. We stayed in Baiersbronn near a village called Tonbach which has at least 3 michelin starred restaurants. There is an excellent car free cycle route from Baiersbronn through to Rastatt which follows the river and train route. The total route is 66km but I managed 25km no problem as a lot of it is downhill! I would fully recommend this bike ride. You can get the train back and if you are staying in the area, the train ride is free. Baden Baden is well worth a visit. I've spent the last 2 summer holidays in this area. There is also a themed park not far in Rust and also Strasbourg.

On the way back from there we did three days in Luxembourg after only ever just passing through it on previous holidays. I really liked it I must say. Loads of history and sights to see.
