Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what the the minimum payment is for the halifax credit card.

    It's either 2% or 3% of the balance (sorry I can't be more specific!).

    Don't forget, though, it will take you aeons to pay it off if you only pay the minimum payment. Try and pay more than this so you reduce what you owe quicker.

    Hi, would be best to check if all their cards ask for same %. Most are advertised at 1% or £5 whichever is the greater. ( Most other banks do ask for bewteen 2% and 3%)

    always aim to pay more than the min though!

    Your statement whether by snail mail or online will confirm the minimum amount to be paid.

    Good advice by shaneshaneshane though - aim to pay it off as soon as possible.

    Perhaps worth registering for online banking so you can see 24 hours a day what you need to pay and by when etc.

    my OH's halifax card is interest +1% of outstanding balance.
