Have you tried approaching the manager and telling him of the situation - maybe he can make some kind of goodwill gesture. This maybe the only option.

I've just been in a similar situation - bought in between two B&Q sales (15% off in March, then 10% in May) could have saved £25! Small fry I guess.

OP = original poster, ie you, the person who first asked the question
MSE = money saving expert, used to either indicate this website, or often just used to indicate comething or someone who is money saving.

To the OP, sorry if I seemed a bit abrubt at first. I would be the first to advocate trying every method in the book to get the best price when buying goods or services, however once you have agreed terms and entered into a contract, either for sale of goods or services, my opinion is that you should either pull out completely if that is an option (eg 'cooling off' period when buying online) or you should just accept that you may have made a hasty decision and live with it. I just feel that once the contract is completed, to try and renege on it by trying to get more money off, or returning goods with an untrue reason for the return, is not honest.

Good luck with the site and your future money saving.

Thank you for your input. I do try to be honest in all my dealings, but at the same time I am very tight and known for getting a good deal. I wasn't attempting to be dishonest, I simply wondered if there was any kind of custumer rights that meant I could get the item at the sale price. But, once again Thank you.
