But lets face it - Do all these so called value added account actually add any value to our lives?0

I canned my advantage gold account as, well, there were no advantages to it ... the insurance etc was always available cheaper elsewhere. Went back to the normal current account. I had to pay a month's fees from the day I cancelled, half of which had already been taken on the regular cycle, the rest was taken as a special charge the next month.0

I got to doubting the value a while back and was considering cancelling my advantage gold account.
I sat down and worked out what i'd saved last year and held onto it, we'd been on holiday and the insurance covered the whole family, both our mobiles were insured (previously we'd been paying £5.99 each by direct debit) and we've now got Green Flag cover and loads more stuff.
If you're not using the bits it comes with then its prob not for you but personally i've got peace of mind. We have a joint account so it covers us both. Its also got 10k accidental death benefit which is handy as my other half is a clumsy clot lol. When you get to the end of your tether, tie a knot and hang on.0
