father has come forward after a year

the father of my baby has come to me after a year and willing to pay child maintenance, i don't want to go through csa so how do i inform them and how much does he have to give me.:j

Go on to the CSA website (or get him) and they have a calculator which will give the figure that the CSA would expect him to pay.
You can then arrange a private arrangement. If you are on benefits then you will need to tell the DWP and they will deduct it from your benefit less £20 which you get to keep.
Hopefully that's more helpful

oh another question, will he have to back date the payment for the whole year or not. i'm not to bothered about that if he doesn't have to give me the money. i'm just happy that now he will be in her life and we are both civilised about it0
