Ebay auction listing templates? Auctiva?

Hi again Ebay gurus,

I made use of the Ebay listing templates for the first time recently and noticed that my items seem to sell a lot better that way.

However, it does add 7p to every listing fee - which isn't a lot on its own but all adds up when you consider the other fees too.

Is there any way of getting free listing templates? Or is it something that you buy when you are a registered business seller on Ebay?

I did look at Auctiva - because that seemed to offer the possibility of free photos too - but I'm hardly the most tech-savvy gal :o and the fact that it is free made me feel that there may be a catch somewhere?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated

Q Well I use Auctiva. I find it easier and faster than Turbolister. The free photos are a draw, I think they are bigger and clearer than the ebay photos.
I also like the free scheduling.

OK - you've reminded me that I have an Auctiva a/c so I'm looking at it again.

BUT to generate an eBay token, it logs you into eBay.com - so if I prepare listings, etc., how do I get them onto eBay.co.uk?

I have been using Auctiva for a couple of years now, and i doubt i'd consider anything else.

There maybe other free template sites but i've not come across them (then again i havn't looked either). Auctiva is completly free, I've never come across any hidden fees, regardless of how many photos i add.

If you can use the ebay listing guide then you can do this also, the form itself it fairly similar to ebay's then it is simply a case of selecting a template.

If you want to add extra details like postage info, shipping, about us, terms of sale etc then you can make a master and apply it to all listings, or if you want to keep it simple you can leave out any the sections.

Also i don't write every listing in auctiva, if i am selling a batch of clothes then often i'll just click the sell similiar in ebay and then go through and change the title, pictures and description - everything else still remains.

I would definately recommed you give it ago

    Good Luck

So if you use the "sell similar" option it preserves your template from Auctiva? Can you clarify this for me please?

I've currently got some items listed on Ebay - if I sign up to Auctiva now, will it affect the listings already running?

Yes neil if you create one listing on Auctiva then log into ebay and use the sell similar option it will preserve the template etc as it's embedded in the html coding. I usually do it this way because i keep much of the info the same when listing, and i find it quicker.

As it's an auctiva template you can copy and paste pics into the listings without charge also.
