No dount if you wait a few weeks it will be half price - which would be a much more normal price for a sofa.

All these plaves have sales which are cicular - in one sale you'll get a load of sofas half price, in another you'll get another set.

    WAIT!
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I 'helped' my friend when she was laptop shopping, went a well know computer shop, asked about an end of line laptop and if there was a discount, they said no as there were a few left. If it was the last one then they would. So we left, came back in a few days - only one left - asked again and was told that was the price it was... hmmm!

I'd be tempted to look elsewhere.

Wrong time of the month mate (how many times have you heard that?)

At the end of the month the store and sales staff are desperate to meet monthly targets and are far more ready to negotiate. At the beginning of a month they are more bullish.

Wait until the last week of the month and pull out a wad of cash to let them see you are a serious cash buyer, then ask for the discount. If not forthcoming scoop up your wad and walk. I'll bet they call you back again.

The stuff on the shop floor is not forsale, they have to order it in.

So unless its a ex-display or a clearance item.

    Your out of luck.
